This is a difficult time for companies trying to navigate the conference scene these days. Several conferences have been canceled or converted to virtual events in response to rising Covid counts around the country. People and companies have been reluctant to commit financial resources in the event a planned event does not come off. This topic came up during a recent planning call for the upcoming Kids’ Chance Golf Tournament to be held at the annual WCI Educational Conference in Orlando next December.

If anyone has any doubts about WCI happening live, let me assuage you of those fears today.

Conference organizers relayed to us very impressive early registration numbers the upcoming event has generated. They also conveyed their commitment to having a live event. It is clear they believe it is time to move forward, and while the conference will work responsibly to keep people safe, that virtual conferences simply cannot have the depth and impact that in-person learning and networking can carry. I happen to agree wholeheartedly.

So, for WCI, it is damn the torpedoes, full speed ahead (my words, not their exact parlance).

The registration numbers they relayed, comfortably in the 4 digits, align with our experience thus far with the Kids’ Chance Golf Tournament being produced by Kids’ Chance of Florida. With over half of our golf positions sold and numerous sponsorships claimed four months before the event we knew that WCI was going to pull an audience.

By the way, we still have excellent sponsorship opportunities available here. Hint. Hint. Hint.

And I would be remiss if I didn’t mention that WorkersCompensation.com is proud to be the Platinum Sponsor of the tournament. Normally extreme humility would prevent me from mentioning that, but the tournament is obligated to mention it whenever they are promoted. Rules is rules, don’t ya know. I don’t make ‘em up. Well, actually I do, but that is not the point.

So, if you have been hesitant to commit to coming to Florida in December when the average Orlando temperature is 73.4 degrees, fear not. Pull that trigger. Register today. Then register for the golf tournament. It’s happening. And it would be a shame for you to miss it.
