A very quick post this morning to remind you that we have a very rare opportunity this week. Thursday we will be hosting the “National Workers’ Compensation Regulators Virtual Town Hall” webcast discussing COVID-19 and its impact on our industry. It is being put together by the Southern Association of Workers’ Compensation Administrators (SAWCA). Regulators from over half the states have committed to participate, and they will be answering questions from the public as well as select industry representatives. Safety National’s Mark Walls and I will be moderating the event.
We are taking questions from the industry at this time, and we encourage you to submit yours here.
The meeting will be recorded Wednesday, and it will be webcast in a public webinar on Thursday. Administrators and their representatives will be online during that webcast to directly interact with and answer questions from the public at large.
We are very pleased to have a part in this historic event. No virtual meeting such as this has ever been conducted for our industry. It is an excellent chance to hear from the people overseeing workers’ compensation, as well as a chance to have your concerns during this time heard. I commend the people at SAWCA for taking a leadership role in getting this done, as well as the administrators who care enough about their industry to make themselves available.
Seats are limited for the Thursday webinar, which will air at 1:00PM eastern. You may register for it here, today.
