I just wanted to make a quick post to thank everyone who extended such kind wishes and support after the passing of my mother. It has been a long week, but we are traveling home today (Sunday), and look forward to the return of normalcy tomorrow (as normal as my life can be, anyway).
Her services were delayed until Friday as some family members could not get here until Wednesday night. We had a tiring but good week. We reminisced a great deal, we cried a bit, and we laughed a lot. My mother, who had a tremendous sense of humor, would not have wanted it any other way.
I received a great number of comments and emails regarding her passing. I have not had time to respond to all of them personally, but hope to soon do so. Each and every one of them are greatly appreciated. I just wanted to take a moment to thank you all for your kindness and positive thoughts.
